Betsey Bubblegum

Betsey Johnson's recent SS2012 show in New York demonstrated the usual cloud of puffy tutus and 80s metallic one would only expect from the ginger haired eccentric. However this year she gave them a slight edge, adding studs, leathers and sculptured bubble skirts, tweaking her signature look to be more in sync with current trends. The entire collection was fun, which is what Betsey fully intends every season, less high fashion more high sugar, making it, as Style.com's Maya Singer describes, "...the hot desire of pretty much every 16-year-old girl raised on a steady diet of Katy Perry and Beyoncé."
