There is nothing from young Irish designer Emma Manley's second collection-a beautiful mix of tailored capes, statement chiffon shirts and stunning dresses-that I don't want. I had the pleasure of meeting Emma at the recent Vogue Fashion Night Out in BT's and she was as lovely as her collection. I think this label is definitely one to watch...

Out with a Bang, Not with a Whimpah
D&G, the 'younger, more flamboyant' line created by the Stefano and Domenico, the creative masterminds that are Dolce and Gabbana, is to be discontinued after its most recent SS12 line. Although it will be sorely missed, primarily for its boldness and individuality not to mention its lower price points, the designers assure us it is not gone but simply incorporated into the brand's main line. The final collection has a definite 60s feel to it, in both cut and the bohemian pattern demonstrated throughout. Although at times repetitive, the 61-piece collection is stunningly eye-catching and in true D&G fashion, the boys have gone out with a bang, not with a whimper...
